About the Author
Litesic is green-living blog run by Kaikea Blakemore of the Big Island, Hawai’i. Kaikea works in forest restoration and is a trained ecopsychologist and alumni of Naropa University.
Ecopsychologists study the relationship between ecosystems and mental health, and regard the viability and health of these as inseparable. In the context of apparent ecosuicide, this blog focuses on positive reinforcements for healthy living, and provides social and environmental information that may help support a more liveable future.
Ecopsychology is also about heart. As one of the newest branches of psychology, ecopsychology is closely related to the transpersonal: we see the connection of the “all in the small” and take a systems approach to individual and community healing.
